The pH Scale (potential of Hydrogen)
A pH of 7 is neutral, less than 7 is acidic. greater than 7 is basic (alkaline). The pH scale is logarithmic.
Each whole pH value below 7 is 10x more acidic than the next higher value.
Both Acids and Bases are corrosive.That means they corrode things or break them down.
So... something with a pH of 13 will corrode stuff just like a substance with a pH of 1.
