Fights are always breaking out,
Guns are called heaters,
Hinton wrote the book, "The Outsiders",
In an attempt to hide from the cops Ponyboy & Johnny go to Windrixville,
Johnny gets hurt bad saving the kids from the fire,
Kids get stuck in a church that's on fire,
Life on the east side of town is hard,
Many newspapers call Pony & Johnny heroes for saving the kids,
Nothing gold can stay,
Outsiders is a great book,
Pony doesn't get hurt in the fire saving the kids,
Quite suddenly after Dally gets shot Pony passes out,
Randy tells Pony that Bob was his best friend. He doesn't attend the rumble,
"She's probably here to tell me about all the trouble I'm causing her & about how happy her & the old man'll be when I'm dead",
To Ponyboy, Johnny says "Stay gold Pony, stay gold', his last words,
Unknown to Pony after Johnny dies Dally robs a store, the cops come after him,
Very cool is the rumble to Pony, he mistakenly thought,
Windrixille is where Pony and Johnny took refuge,
X is the second letter in the word "Exciting" which describes the book,
Yes the book was written by Pony for his English assignment,
Z is the last letter of the alphabet, just like …"When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mine: Paul Newman and a ride home…." This is the last line of the book and… my poem.
