THE MAKERS OF THE WAR

Manufacturers thank
Relatives curse
Men hate
The makers of the war.

Men leave
Few return
Because of
The makers of the war.
Men lie dead
In a field
Of bloodshed.

I truly regret
The makers of the war!

LEST WE FORGET

Remember those who died.
Those we loved, the one's who cried.
As I sit here in my room,
I picture the banging and the boom.

I try to pull myself together as I lie:

They gave their lives to keep us free.
To save the innocent like you and me.
I am thankful for no war,
As we wear our poppies in remorse:

Let's work together to keep this country our's

And on each Remembrance Day to wear a flower
So put on a smile and don't sigh,
Stay together and keep your head held high,
If we stand together, no one will break our power.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

On Veteran's Day
We all must say
We remember the brave
And all the ones that gave

Their lives their blood
For countryhood
But don't despair
We remember them by the poppies we wear

Where they now lay
Is where they must stay

Gone but not forgotten.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

The sun has set
Below the hills
The sounds of guns
Forever still

Not long ago
The battles raged
And many died
Of tender age

They fought for country
To protect
The way of life
We all respect

Now we gather
To recall
The sacrifices
Paid by all.

NOVEMBER 11th

In the years of the war
Brave men left to fight
For the lives of others
For the human right.

They all left their families
And marched through the door
To act for their country
To be in the war.

They fought for then
And they fought for us now
Most of them died
Thought it's a wonder how.

Because they did all for the benefit
Of our country today.
So on November 11th
Our remembrance we pay.

SOLDIERS OF OUR COUNTRY
We will always remember the people who fought
Through all of these wars a lesson was taught
This is all people, like you and me.

These veterans helped change the world today
Now in our country, people can live their own way
Soldiers in the bottles have lost their lives
Young men leaving home, children or wives
Now this day is a day of Remembrance
To these people we give our condolence.

A day for remembering those who died.
The soldiers that fought and did not hide.
They stood for their country loyal and true.
They won Canada's freedom in World War 11.
They deserve to be honoured in every way.
Especially on Remembrance Day.

You should remember their families,
When the soldiers died they went through pain and agony,
All the soldiers went through pain,
For freedom they would obtain,
So everyone went together to say,
Let's praise them on Remembrance Day.

All of our soldiers fought,
So our freedom could be bought,
For the price of their lives,
And for the price of their lives,
And for the happiness of their wives,
So we should be happy they fought the war.

So what I'm trying to say,
Is you should praise Remembrance Day

WARS OF YESTERDAY

Bombs exploding in the air
This occasion so unrare
All of this meant to scare
No time for victims to prepare
So many countries are involved
Trying to get this thing resolved
All this telling of our past
Which we seem to forget so fast
These are the wars of yesterday
Remembering back in dismay
Hoping not to come again
If they do where and when
These are the wars of yesterday
Remembering back in dismay.

PERSPECTIVES
I am a soldier,

Proud and standing tall.
Many of our comrades,
To the earth they have fall.

We fight for our country,
Against enemies who are wrong.
We are the right ones .
The battles, they are long.

I am the enemy from across the sea.
But from my perspective,

You are the enemy of me.

We are the right ones,
You are in the wrong.
You're the one who started this,
You're the one headstrong.

Together we fight,
Neither one of us is wrong,
Neither one of us is right.
So why do we fight?

No one is better than the other,
We have just different views.
And neither one of us,
Has gotten the clue.

WAR
I am a person who hates war.
I hear my friends screaming.
I see people dying.
I touch the dirt on my face.
I smell fear in the air.
I am a person who hates war.

I am a person who hates war.
I hear the gun shots.
I see the helicopters in the air.
I taste the blood in my mouth.
I touch the cuts on my arms.
I smell fire burning in the air.
I am a person who hates war.

I am a person who hates war.
I hear screaming on fear.
I see people ducking for cover.
I taste the air that I am breathing.
I touch my gun that I am holding in my hand.
I smell the mud that I am standing on.
I am a person who hates war.

I am a person who hates war.
I hear my family calling me home.
I see peace in my future.
I taste the fresh water and I now drink.
I touch my chest and feel my heart beating.
I smell the clean air I now breath.
I am a person who hates war.

LARKS LIVE AND LARKS DIE

Larks Live, and larks die.
They see many things while in the sky.
They see an open field with men
Fighting in war, but that was then,

This is now.
We need to make a change but how?
Bring peace to your school and home.
I'd like to thank you for reading my poem

Larks live, and larks die.
